My Window

We all see the world through a different window. Some are bigger than others; they have different scenery, shapes, and designs. Sometimes it’s hard to see the world the way others do, but here’s some thoughts from my window of the world.

What are you most excited about for the future? Since being married I have gone through waves of soaking up our time and freedom together and longing to grow our family. The thing I cannot wait for is the day our family of 2 becomes 3, then 5, then maybe even 7 or more. I Continue reading

  • Cozy 24/7

One thing that helps me increase comfort no matter where I’m at is honestly as simple as meeting my basic needs. I make sure I have a jacket, a snack, and a cozy drink. I also almost always have a way to write or listen to music so that I can always jot down thoughts Continue reading

  • Change the World.

-You can. I promise- Some days I think I could speak to crowds of thousands of people. Other days I can’t even share a comment in class. Some days I think I could be on Broadway. Other days I only sing in my car.  Some days I’m the life of the party. Other days I Continue reading

  • A Perfect Love.

Matthew 14 -. The Savior learns that His cousin, and dear friend, John the Baptist died. In this chapter, Matthew shows us Christ’s humanity alongside His divine nature. As much as Christ probably wants to go be alone with His Heavenly Father, He chooses to serve. He heals, teaches, and feeds (5,000 men not including Continue reading

  • The never-ending hike.

Self-respect. A mountain of highs, and lows.  Starting strong; climbing to unseen heights. Proud of what you’ve accomplished. Slipping and grasping onto the small bits that are there, but it’s not enough. You fall. Hard.  A little hurt, but not broken, you try again.  Climbing once again, you hit a short, but beautiful view. You Continue reading

  • Lonely

As I was hugging my friends goodbye after a lovely dinner my mind kept saying “please not yet”. I didn’t want to leave them. Driving home I found myself suddenly alone. My gut filled with a deep pull wanting to talk to someone, anyone that could remind me that I’m loved. It’s silly because I Continue reading

  • Worthy

Comparison. The death of things I want to accomplish The death of joy in failure and learning. The death of believing we can do hard things. Sometimes we count ourselves out. We forget about the AMAZING things we can accomplish. Why is it so easy to convince ourselves that because someone else did better than Continue reading

  • Stars

Today I realized I forgot about the stars. It’s not that I forgot they were there, but I forgot to appreciate them. I forgot to look up. I was so focused on the moon, that its friends that don’t seem as bright were neglected. Really though, we know the stars are brighter than the moon, Continue reading

  • Growing Up

“I love you.” Everyone has been told this phrase (hopefully). By their parent, friend, sibling, etc. They are lovely little words that mean a lot in any genuine circumstance. This week, for the first time, I understand these words in a new way. “I love you, Ella.” Said the young man I trust with my Continue reading

  • Lucky

I’ve never really understood the word lucky. I feel like events in life have way to much meaning to just be luck or coincidental. Despite this I use the word all the time. “I’m so lucky to have a friend like you” Or “It’s lucky we ended up in the same class.” Some things in Continue reading
